Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at MicroTECH Global Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage our IT network, servers, and security systems
  • Manage active and passive network devices, including TCP/IP v4 and v6 protocols
  • Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our IT environment, prioritizing production-impacting support cases
  • Communicate problematic situations in a timely manner
  • Install software and hardware, including OS, application software, and network equipment
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment
  • Provide local and remote support to UK users and international users

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Linux OS (Centos, RedHat, Ubuntu, Server and Client) and LDAP
  • Knowledge of Windows OS (Client) and Active Directory
  • Experience with storage technologies (NAS, SAN, NFS, ZFS)
  • Use of software/hardware monitoring tools
  • Configuration management using tools like Ansible or Puppet
  • Experience with IT security platforms running on RedHat and Windows Client
  • Scripting and programming skills in Bash shell, Python, and Perl
  • Good knowledge of IP networks, including security aspects
  • Knowledge of modern web application development (NodeJS) and SQL
