About the Role

As a Commercial Vehicle Technician at Royal Mail, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining our fleet of over 49,000 vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of makes and models, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs.

We are looking for a skilled mechanic who can perform full-range inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment. You will have access to modern, fully equipped workshops and specialist tooling, as well as your own personal toolkit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on light and heavy goods vehicles
  • Use your skills and experience to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve high-quality results
About You

We are seeking a qualified mechanic with IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent experience working on a wide range of vehicles. A valid UK driving licence and flexibility to service demands are essential requirements.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £38,114 plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:30-22:00 shift. Additional weekend supplements apply, and you may be eligible for a welcome bonus. You will also have access to an excellent company matched pension scheme and financial benefits.
