About this role

At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager - Private Debt to join our Private Debt team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Portfolio Manager in various aspects of the investment process, including portfolio management activities and portfolio capital management.

Key Responsibilities

• Model portfolio optimisation scenarios and provide recommendations to the Portfolio Manager.
• Own database on the fund's investments (consistency and integrity) and coordinate the use of data for various internal and external reporting requirements.
• Contribute content for internal reporting, white papers and thought leadership.
• Deliver data for risk and investment oversight.
• Population of fund investor templates with loan data.

Portfolio Capital Management

• Management of fund level cashflows, including cashflow forecasting analysis and liquidity analysis for capital call and distribution, to optimise investors' experience.
• Manage leverage facilities: provide information to banks, respond to Q&A, manage portfolio limits, monitor borrowing base model, draft compliance certificates.
• Manage drawdowns on the facility and liaise with BlackRock capital markets on renewals.

Requirements

• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills, highly numerate, responsive with high attention to detail.
• 2 -5 years' experience in investment banking (leveraged finance, M&A or restructuring) or private debt/direct lending.
• Motivated team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritise, working to tight deadlines and flexible to meet workload.
• Strong academic background.
• Fluent in English; other European language skills considered a plus.
