About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Control and Instrumentation Defect Technician to join our team at Peterhead Power Station in Aberdeenshire. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing and supervising maintenance activities to ensure work is executed successfully and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate plant failures and defects, and implement remedial action to achieve effective resolution.
  • Manage and supervise internal and external maintenance technicians to ensure all work is executed successfully, safely, on time, and to budget.
  • Ensure works are assigned to personnel with appropriate competencies and performed safely in line with Safe Systems of Work.
Requirements:
  • HNC level or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, with experience in an engineering or maintenance position at a thermal power station or other heavy industry.
  • Experience in managing and supervising contract and in-house resources, providing safety and technical leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of control & instrumentation systems, plant, and equipment within the remit of the role.
