Job Overview
The Senior Deputy Head plays a pivotal role in the Senior Leadership Team of Sevenoaks School, serving as the second-in-command to the Headmaster. This esteemed position requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the school's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Deputy Head, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, working closely with the Headmaster, Bursar, and Chief Commercial Officer. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deputising for the Headmaster in their absence and providing leadership support as required
  • Coordinating the work of the other deputies, including Academic, Boarding, Co-Curricular, Pastoral, and Staff
  • Working closely with the Bursary Executive and Chief Commercial Officer to drive school strategy and development
  • Providing guidance and support to senior staff members and ensuring effective communication across the school

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive school development and improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents
  • A deep understanding of the school's vision, values, and mission, with the ability to promote and embed these across the school
