Advancement Clinical Pharmacist
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Kirkwall, Orkney. The successful candidate will work within a Medicines Management Policy to ensure safe and cost-effective medicines use, collaborating with pharmacy technical teams, medical staff, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records through medicines reconciliation on admission and assessment of patients' own medication.
- Collaborate with medical staff in primary and secondary care to discuss prescribed medicines.
- Monitor patients' biochemistry and haematology results to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams for effective continuity of pharmaceutical care.
- Hold an Undergraduate Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent).
- Complete pre-registration training and pass the relevant examination.
- Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Practising).
- Possess at least 1 year of post-registration experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of pharmacy legislation.
£40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
