Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN teaching assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a primary school support worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and making a positive impact on their learning journey.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving 2-form entry primary school in Basildon, Essex. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of strategies to support students with a variety of SEN, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. You will work closely with the class teacher and staff to implement tailored learning strategies, assist with individual and small group interventions, and create a nurturing environment for students to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs in a 2-form entry primary school

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience supporting children with SEN, preferably within a school setting
  • Passion for helping students with diverse learning needs and ability to adapt approach to meet individual requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff, and ability to build strong relationships with children
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support students with a variety of SEN, such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
