Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Nonlinear Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team at Industry Placements. As a Graduate Nonlinear Structural Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) of wing structure to support in-service issues, as well as nonlinear "virtual test" simulations to support aircraft research programs and early development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nonlinear FEA of wing structure to support in-service issues
  • Develop and execute nonlinear "virtual test" simulations to support aircraft research programs and early development programs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and simulate the physics of aircraft structural behavior
  • Develop engineering judgment to understand the results of simulations
  • Learn about aircraft design, manufacture, and in-service support

Requirements

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study (2:1 or above)
  • First professional experience or specific interest in structural analysis, finite element analysis, scripting/coding
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • Self-awareness and a willingness to take ownership of development
