Quality Assurance Specialist

Centre People Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Regional Quality Specialist to join their team in Aberdeen. As a key member of the Steel Unit business, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day Quality program and ensuring adherence to ISO:9001 standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the Quality activities within the department, working closely with colleagues in London.
- Collaborate with relevant parties to meet Quality Policy objectives and customer Quality requirements.
- Deliver continual improvement in relation to the department's performance, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
- Perform audits to measure the level of quality and compliance within the department, ensuring that all processes are aligned with company standards.
- Provide input to quality management system reviews, ensuring that all aspects of the system are functioning effectively.
- Ensure Non-conformances and observations are recorded and reported, with suitable basic and root causes identified and corrective actions implemented.
- Review NCR reports to ensure that lessons learned from incidents are taken into account across the department.
- Communicate company quality expectations to the workforce, providing training sessions as per the Training Plan and Competency development requirements.
- Assist teams in identifying and assessing risks, and identifying relevant controls to manage and reduce these risks to ALARP.
- Maintain all quality documentation and records in line with specified company documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain regional procedures and processes, ensuring that they are aligned with company standards.
- Support the development of Project Quality Plans, ensuring that all aspects of the plan are aligned with company requirements.
- Ensure Suppliers and Subcontractors are identified, evaluated, and re-evaluated in line with their requirements, maintaining an Assessed Supplier List.
- Implement the Contractor/Supplier Management standard, ensuring that all aspects of the standard are met.
- Support the Quality approach to customers, ensuring that customer feedback is recorded and actions taken where deemed necessary.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts, ensuring that Yard standards are maintained in accordance with defined standards.
- Provide Quality support in relation to business tenders, preparing and contributing to monthly quality reports and Management reviews.
- Perform miscellaneous Quality support tasks as requested by the Regional Quality Manager.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or Process industry, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
- QMS Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience in maintaining a Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Experience in Quality Management System Auditing, internal, external, and 3rd party.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience in supplier evaluation related to Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in developing and presenting training material on various roles and processes.
- Experience in being the organisation's Quality face in client meetings.
- Experience in working with a large range of clients in different locations and understanding complex issues that may arise as a result of different country requirements.
- Technical knowledge of Tubular products, premium connections, and material selection.
- Experience in using Document Management Systems and MS Office (MS Teams, Visio, etc).
- Business level of English.
