Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EMEA Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our EMEA team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regional tax laws and regulations, while supporting strategic initiatives and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the accurate preparation, filing, and reporting of regional tax returns, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations.
  • Monitoring changes in EMEA tax laws, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders and adjusting tax processes as necessary.
  • Coordinating regional tax audits and managing any arising tax disputes, working with local advisors where needed.
  • Supporting regional tax planning initiatives, identifying and assessing tax-saving opportunities aligned with Temenos's business objectives.
  • Providing guidance on the tax implications of key business activities, including new market entries, cross-border transactions, and regional M&A activities.
  • Collaborating with local finance and business units to ensure that tax considerations are embedded in business decisions and that compliance risks are minimized.
  • Preparing accurate regional tax provisions and assisting with reporting for financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Analyzing tax impact on financial performance within the region and communicating insights to management.
  • Closely working with finance, legal, and operations teams across EMEA to ensure alignment on tax-related matters and support business initiatives.
  • Acting as a regional tax advisor, assisting product and sales teams with tax considerations for new service offerings and pricing models.
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of regional tax policies and procedures.
  • Leveraging available technology and tax software to streamline tax compliance and reporting, aiming for efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced tax qualifications or certifications preferred.
  • Strong experience in EMEA tax compliance and advisory, ideally gained within a multinational company or professional services firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA tax laws, transfer pricing, and other region-specific regulations.
  • Experience coordinating tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions within the EMEA region.
  • Proficiency in tax accounting and reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise across teams and with external advisors.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in tax regulations.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
