Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals with complex needs and providing high-quality care and education.

About the Role:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). You will work closely with the teaching and healthcare teams to provide learning support and tailored care, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, and the administration of medication as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with personal care, including toileting, changing, and feeding.
  • Support students with mobility needs, including the use of hoists and other equipment.
  • Monitor and attend to medical needs, such as tube feeding and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to support learning and development goals.
  • Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with students to foster a safe and happy learning environment.
  • Ensure that safeguarding and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
What We're Looking For:

We are seeking individuals with a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs. Experience working with individuals with PMLD or in a healthcare setting is desirable, but we are happy to consider candidates with a strong willingness to learn.
