Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-Ordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-Ordinator to join our team at Prospero Teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day SEND provision offered to pupils.

The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NA SENCO). Experience of teaching children with a range of SEND across the primary age range is essential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure students with a SEN or disability have full entitlement to the curriculum.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues on inclusive teaching principles.
  • Track progress and identify needs through strong data analysis skills.
  • Early identification of pupils with additional needs.
  • Develop strategies and interventions to support staff in meeting student needs.
Requirements:
  • Registration with Prospero Teaching and completion of vetting checks.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or willingness to process a new application.
  • Two professional child-related references.
