Thoracic Surgery Specialist

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Thoracic Surgery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our surgical services.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in thoracic surgery to take their career to the next level. You will work closely with our experienced consultants and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing thoracic surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care as a first assistant or primary operator in operating theatres
- Participate in the organization of operating timetables and admissions
- Undertake daily ward rounds and supervise junior doctor ward work
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings, audit meetings, teaching programs, and research meetings
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- MBBS qualification
- MRCS/FRCS or equivalent
- Adequate progression of training to CCT
- Organisational skills
- Experience in Thoracic Surgery

Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including annual leave allocation, notice periods, and opportunities for professional development.
