We are currently recruiting for multiple investigators, across various departments within Police Scotland.

These roles are fixed-term contracts up to 24 months.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting full and thorough investigations, the nature of which may include:

  • Large-scale investigations that are complex and protracted.
  • Non-criminal and criminal complaints about the police.
  • Investigations of a highly sensitive nature involving discipline, grievance, bullying, and harassment, domestic abuse, and other reported wrongdoing within the workplace.
  • Resolving complaints about the police and workplace issues.
  • Public inquiries/fatal accident inquiries/complaint handling reviews.

You will play a key role in administering, investigating, and resolving complaints made by members of the public about the police.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly specialised environment where communication and decision-making are key.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

Positions are available in Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, and Glasgow (Dalmarnock).

You will be asked about your preferred department at interview.
