As a Data Analytics Tuning & List Intelligence Analyst at Barclays, you will play a key role in crafting innovative solutions to filter and verify customer payments, reducing incoming payment volumes. This position requires a forward-thinking individual who can lead the charge in reshaping the future of banking, one payment at a time.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:

  • Data analytical expertise, allowing for thorough examination and interpretation of financial data.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence to drive informed decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and strategic planning.
  • Adaptability and creative thinking to navigate dynamic work environments.

This role will be based in our Bournemouth or Glasgow Office, where you will collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communication of findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Escalation of breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
  • Embedding new policies/ procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.
  • Managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to.
  • Acting as a contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
