We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Events Team Leader/Event Support Expert to join our team at the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of our events and conferences.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and set up event spaces, including tables, stations, and buffets, to ensure a seamless and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and other departments to ensure that all event requirements are met.
- Lead shifts and supervise a team of banqueting staff to ensure that high standards of service are maintained.
- Organize and coordinate the day-to-day running of events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Work closely with the sales and events team to ensure that all events are delivered to the highest standard.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
