Join Our Team as a GP in the South West

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Practitioner to join our team at Spa Medical Centre in Melksham. As a GP in our practice, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality medical services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide general medical services to patients, including routine consultations, home visits, and online and telephone queries.
  • Work collaboratively with our nursing team, extended to First Contact Physiotherapists, Pharmacists, and Paramedic Practitioners, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and care plans for chronic disease and common medical conditions.
  • Provide preventative healthcare, counselling, education, and advice to patients.
  • Adhere to the local prescribing formulary and contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
  • Record clear and accurate consultation notes and maintain patients' clinical records.
  • Participate in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement of health outcomes through the practice's audit programme.
  • Perform clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties necessary for the delivery of General Medical Services.
  • Engage in appropriate educational activity to maintain clinical competence and performance, including participation in the annual GP appraisal scheme.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalent.
  • Specialist interest / development / training.
