About the Role

The Mechanical Supervisor - Trades Leader will be responsible for leading a team of industrial and non-industrial trades personnel in the delivery of fleet engineering work packages. This will involve ensuring the delivery of objectives in terms of safety, cost, time, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical trades personnel to deliver fleet engineering work packages.
  • Ensure the delivery of objectives in terms of safety, cost, time, and quality requirements.
  • Work with the fleet programmes team to define and detail the work required to deliver each activity.
  • Regularly report to the delivery manager on progress, team performance, and development.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity and safety.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or first-line management experience gained within a mechanical or marine engineering discipline.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of trades resource and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working to defined work packages and delivering maintenance procedures.
  • Recognised mechanical or marine engineering apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 or HNC and above in a mechanical engineering discipline.
