Job Opportunity

City of Glasgow Swim Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swimming Coach to join our team. As a Group Coach, you will be responsible for developing and leading our 13-18 year old swimmers, working closely with our Head Coach to advance their skills and progress through the club pathway.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate training programmes under the guidance of the Head Coach
  • Engage with parents and swimmers regarding all matters relevant to the swimming programme
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, including the Glasgow School of Sport and Athlete Focused
  • Attend relevant training and CPD as required
Requirements:
  • UKCC Level 2 Swim Coaching qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of coaching and developing swimmers in a competitive swimming club
  • UKCC Level 3 Swim Coaching qualification or equivalent
  • Current and up-to-date safeguarding & child protection training qualifications (PVG and CWPS)
  • Member of Home Nations Swimming
  • HND or Degree level qualification in a sport-related discipline
  • Experience of coaching and developing swimmers to Scottish or British national age group level (or equivalent)
  • A current clean driving licence
  • Experience of Hy-tek Team Manager, Microsoft Office products, and other relevant software
