We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our provision unit at a partner school in Tameside. As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the school's provision unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their individual needs.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom behavior and ensuring that students remain engaged and focused during lessons.
- Assist with personal care and provide support to students as required, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and external agencies to monitor and report on student progress.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in education or SEN support is preferred.
