Job Summary:
A Senior Engineering Director is required to join our award-winning team. This role will have overall responsibility for the engineering function both on and off site for Murphy Applied Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and promote strategic objectives within the business unit,
- Lead and drive engineering initiatives within the business unit,
- Promote innovation and solutions to clients,
- Manage performance improvement of the engineering capability and function, establishing best practice policies and procedures,
- Take a proactive role in the management of careers and learning & development of all engineering staff, including personal development reviews,
- Work closely with engineering institutions and manage professional qualifications in conjunction with the learning & development team,
- Support the business units in work winning as the technical leader coordinator in bids, with the application of engineering and quality,
- Provide guidance and support to projects to contribute to delivering engineering and quality,
- Manage the allocation of engineering resources to support the business,
- Promote the function internally and externally,
- Manage the consultant supply chain framework and drive the performance and relationship management of the consultant community,
- Keep management informed of business area activity and progress achieved,
- Manage the recruitment of engineers and design managers to support the business requirements,
- Engage with universities and support the annual graduate recruitment,
- Maintain high-quality benchmarks.

What We Offer
**Competitive Salary**: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum
