Responsibilities- People Management and Technical Leadership: You will be responsible for playing an active role in people management and technical leadership, impacting the teams you lead, the people you manage, and the product you are responsible for.
- Team Environment and Processes: You will take accountability for the environment that your teams operate within and the processes and standards that facilitate high-quality software delivery.
- Career Development: You will build capability by hiring, retaining, and developing the careers of our engineers.
- Stakeholder Relationships: You will build balanced, empathetic relationships with stakeholders and product teams.
- Technology Leadership: You will drive architecture, design, implementation, adoption, and re-usability of technology within your teams.
- You should have experience managing software engineers, supporting their career development and growth.
- You should have good knowledge of Java and the associated ecosystem.
- You should have experience leading complex software development programs.
- You should have experience of technical leadership within a team, coaching, supporting, and mentoring.
- You will be entitled to an annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.
- You will start with a holiday entitlement of 25 days plus a personal day (plus Bank holidays).
- You will receive private medical insurance.
- You will be eligible for 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 year's service) at full pay, followed by 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay. You will also receive 4 weeks fully paid paternity leave.
- You will have access to a free 24/7 virtual GP service and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for you and your family.
