We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at MTrec Technical. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage supplier delivery performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and prices for goods purchased, ensuring the best possible value for the company.
- Procure technical goods and services used in the operation of the organisation, including designing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business needs.
- Work with suppliers to complete project timings and required quality specifications, and collaborate with the R&D team to understand project needs and timelines.
- Manage and update approved supplier lists, and design change control functions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Challenging prices on existing purchased products, and initiating supplier cost reduction activities (VA/VE).
- Visit supplier sites and build relations with suppliers to ensure a strong and collaborative working relationship.
We are looking for a driven and motivated individual who is keen to follow a succession plan and progress to a Purchasing Manager role. The ideal candidate will have experience managing supplier delivery performance, negotiating contracts, and working in a fast-paced procurement environment.
