We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hunter Dunning Ltd, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in the residential and affordable housing sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working on new build residential and mixed-use projects across RIBA Stages 0 – 5, with a focus on re-cladding of high-rise schemes. As a senior quantity surveyor, you will be involved in the cost plans and estimates of residential projects, including re-cladding work for high-rise schemes and fire remediation work as part of a specialist team.
Key Responsibilities:- Support clients by producing accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Develop new cost plans for projects, across RIBA Stage 0 to Stage 5
- Conduct client-side valuations and certification
- Prepare cost/benefit analysis of design options
- Implement value engineering
- Review and analyze main contractor tender submissions
- Attend client and design team meetings
- Experience in a similar position as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, or Cost Planner
- Consultancy background is essential
- Experience with cladding remediation work
- MRICS / MCIOB preferred, but not essential
- Residential JCT experience is desirable
- Proficiency in Ms Office, Cost X, and Bluebeam
- A competitive salary of £60,000 – £65,000
