Job Description

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Engineering Expert to join our team in the UK Energy business. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering power transmission infrastructure that supports Net Zero targets in the UK energy system.

  • Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using software tools like PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for design purposes.
  • Perform technical calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and electrical performance of overhead lines.
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and stakeholders to integrate design requirements into project plans.
  • Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience using PLS CADD/TOWER software.
  • Prior experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  • Prior experience in upgrading work projects such as utilisation of High Temperature Low Sag conductors.
  • The ability to travel to projects occasionally.
Salary

An estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
