Are you a care leaver looking to start a career in engineering? Consider joining Ontic as an engineering apprentice. This apprenticeship offers a competitive starting salary and a bursary to support independent living.

As an Ontic apprentice, you'll work towards completing a Level 3 or 4 qualification in engineering, gaining hands-on experience and developing a range of knowledge and practical skills.

During your apprenticeship, you'll spend your first year at Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET) to support your on-the-job training, and then join the business full-time in years 2 & 3.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including Maths & English at a level 4 or above, or be predicted to achieve this
  • For a Level 4 apprenticeship, you'll need an existing Level 3 qualification in engineering or A-Level Maths and Physics at grade C or above

As an Ontic apprentice, you'll receive coaching to develop your interpersonal skills and personal brand, attend courses to provide you with age-specific financial skills, and support with vital life skills, including living and eating on a budget.
