Automotive Software Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Emotiv Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our Electrical & Electronic Systems department, you will play a crucial role in driving the delivery of integrated HW and SW in assigned projects for our New Technology and New Model Introduction Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Integration Planning: Plan overall SW and HW technical integration, defining integration points, and receiving and collecting SW releases.
- Integration Point Definition: Define integration points and publish feature release plans, including integration points with release notes.
- Compatibility Assessment: Assess SW and HW compatibility by design and by test, ensuring EOW/EOL readiness and reviewing Systems Requirements for testability.
- Test Planning and Execution: Create test specifications and test cases for electrical systems, coordinate testing of EES features on bikes, and execute automated black box and manual system level tests on lab bikes.
- Automated Testing: Create and modify automated test scripts, analyze HIL and bikes test data and reports.
- Tool Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of tools and methods for software integration and releasing into vehicle projects.
- Process Improvement: Ensure processes and procedures are in place to ensure deliverables and milestones are being met on a day-to-day basis by the teams.
- Project Metrics: Agree project metrics with key stakeholders and track best practices within the project planning community.
- Education: BEng or MEng in a technical subject with modules covering software planning and integration, or equivalent and relevant experience.
- Experience: Previous experience working within an automotive/manufacturing/industrial environment, proficient planning of integrated software delivery into complex systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with CANoe and CANalyzer, knowledge of diagnostic protocol and re-programming, proficient in systems test and validation, and proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with Vector PREEvision, manual/automated test case generation, script development (e.g., CAPL, Python), experience with defect resolution tools (e.g., JIRA), experience in closed-loop testing, and experience in software download, optimization, and continual improvement.
