Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with key business projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Resolve complex technical issues for our key business systems, providing expert-level support and guidance.
  • Proactively manage and maintain our IT infrastructure to ensure maximum system uptime, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain IT procedural and process documentation in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a viable IT business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor junior support staff and assist where necessary to ensure knowledge transfer and development.
  • Assist in system capacity planning, ensuring that our infrastructure can meet the needs of our growing business.
  • Constantly review the current IT infrastructure and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and maintain key IT systems, including Microsoft servers, switches, SANs, VMware, telephony systems, and firewalls.
  • Build and maintain a secure network, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, including design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Proficiency in virtualization technologies, including VMware.
  • Experience with SAN technologies and storage solutions.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including IP, ADSL, and MPLS.
  • Experience with telephony systems and technologies, including Cisco and Unified Communications.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies and best practices, including PCI/ISO compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
