Nursery Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our team at Excell Supply Ltd. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Protect and promote the health and well-being of children.
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed.
  • Promote positive relationships in the early years setting.
  • Support children's learning and development through play.
  • Be a key person to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families.
  • Monitor children's progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets.
  • Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day.
  • Enable children to become more independent.
  • Help prepare children for the transition into school life.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Teaching Assistant Level 1 or 2 qualification.
  • Be an excellent and inspirational practitioner, with young children's well-being at the forefront of all actions.
  • Possess excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Demonstrate transferrable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring, and helpfulness.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (can be obtained through Excell Supply Ltd if necessary).
