Compensation Expert Role

The One Group is hiring a skilled Compensation Expert to oversee payroll operations in Corby. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, ensuring effective payroll management and compliance with HMRC regulations.

About the Opportunity: As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement efficient payroll processes, administer pensions, and compile payroll data. Your expertise will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, contributing to our company's success.

  1. Payroll Process Development: Design and implement efficient payroll processes using Sage 50.
  2. Pension Fund Administration: Manage pension funds, including payments and auto-enrolment.
  3. Payroll Data Management: Compile payroll data, including weekly timesheets and expense claims.
  4. HMRC Compliance: Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and statutory requirements.
  5. Payroll Reporting: Prepare payroll journals and reports for period-end and year-end processes.
  6. Staff Contract Management: Oversee staff contract changes, promotions, and terminations.
  7. Payroll Record Keeping: Maintain payroll records in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies.
  8. Legislative Updates: Stay updated on new payroll-related legislation and support audit requirements.
  9. Payroll Issue Resolution: Address payroll-related issues and provide timely solutions.
  10. Certified Payroll Professional: Possession of a Certified Payroll Professional designation is beneficial.
  11. Accounting Knowledge: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll calculations.
  12. Computer Applications: Proficient in computer applications, particularly Sage 50.

Expected Salary: £48,000 - £58,000 per annum based on experience.
