About the Role

CRA GROUP LIMITED is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Civil Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic and supportive team. As a Junior Civil Lawyer, you will be responsible for dealing with a variety of Civil Litigation matters, including disrepair, homelessness, antisocial behaviour, unauthorised occupation, employment, and miscellaneous litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting advocacy and managing a caseload with minimum supervision
  • Working at pace in a busy team and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Providing expert advice and interpreting legal issues
  • Preparing written advice and conducting legal casework
  • Undertaking advocacy at tribunals and courts, as appropriate to grade and experience

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with a practising certificate
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, national policies, and legal procedures
  • Understanding of local government law and administration, best value, and risk management
  • Experience in advice, interpreting legal issues, preparing written advice, and conducting legal casework
  • Ability to work unsupervised on a varied and extensive caseload of routine matters
