About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Severn Trent team, you will play a crucial role in delivering optimal design solutions that meet performance and programme requirements for the Worcester Wastewater Treatment works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical approval process, consents process, and governance required to deliver schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promote health and safety in design activities.
  • Lead and manage the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost, quality, and health and safety.
  • Oversee project and design budgets, forecasting design costs, and driving efficiency through innovation and design reuse.
  • Build trust and integrity with the Client by providing timely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with Client-specific delivery processes.
Requirements
  • A degree-level engineering qualification and ideally CSCS accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites and Client meetings as required.
  • A sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and familiarity with Client standards and regulations.
