Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join a national waste management company based in Leeds. This exciting opportunity is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of moving to permanent, offering a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide detailed explanations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and provide insights to improve cost efficiency.
- Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with various departments, including production and supply chain, to gather financial data and provide financial guidance.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
- Preferably, fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), although qualified by experience, will be considered.
- Solid background in management accounting, ideally in the construction industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and financial software.
