Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team in the Woolsington area of Newcastle upon Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care and support to a young man living in his own home, who requires assistance with daily living activities, including medication administration, food preparation, and personal care.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in care and be able to work independently, with a full driving license being advantageous. Knowledge of supporting an individual with insulin-dependent diabetes is also essential.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing care and support to the client, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Working with therapists to deliver the client's support plan
  • Managing the client's medication and administering as required
  • Preparing meals and snacks for the client
  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
