About the Role

This exciting opportunity will be based at our Bakkavor Pizza site in Holbeach St Marks, Lincolnshire. The site specializes in making chilled pizzas and is strategically located near major transportation routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the upkeep of Environmental permit conditions and timely communication with the Environmental Agency.
  • Develop and implement SHE strategies to promote a proactive SHE culture, providing a competitive edge to the business through employee behavior.
  • Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environment legal requirements, policies, standards, and procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented, and systems exist to ensure compliance with current legislation and Bakkavor policy.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and report SHE performance, analyze trends, and develop action plans to deliver targets regarding SHE.
  • Coordinate SHE training and development for managers, ensuring effective management of SHE and ensuring key personnel involved in Health & Safety activities are competent to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Promote and drive a culture of continuous improvement of Health & Safety and best environmental practice through effective engagement of the workforce.
  • Investigate, record, and report incidents, identifying and recommending improved practices to reduce accidents.
  • Monitor risk assessment processes and provide assistance/advice to assessors to ensure risk assessments/safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHE professional with a Diploma level NEBOSH H&S and Environmental qualification or equivalent. You will have significant experience in a senior Health & Safety role working for an organization with a large number of employees and vast amounts of different equipment and machines.

You will be passionate about SHE, able to influence at a senior level, and champion change/implementation at all levels. Strong communication skills, both verbal/presentation and written documentation, are essential, as well as being a team player.
