Job Title: AWS Site Reliability Engineer

At Sony PlayStation, we're seeking a highly skilled AWS Site Reliability Engineer to join our Commerce Reliability Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and resilience of our monetization platform, while enabling our service teams to deliver new and exciting product and technical features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure to support our commerce platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and drive improvements in process and technology.
  • Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting patterns to increase observability across our services.
  • Partner with other SRE teams to ensure optimal application performance and resiliency across all back-end services.
  • Lead performance and capacity validation analysis for our commerce platform services, using AWS patterns and technologies to efficiently manage our AWS spend.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, integrating, developing, and managing applications.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a high-volume and/or critical production, software environment.
  • Experience with container technologies and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
  • Experience with monitoring and log management tools (e.g., DataDog, CloudWatch, Splunk).
  • Solid understanding of AWS networking systems and protocols.
  • Experience with developing or supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
