Designated Safeguarding Professional

TimePlan Education's Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Southwark is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our pupils, working closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and other support staff to create a safe and supportive environment.
Your primary focus will be on safeguarding and child protection, identifying and managing child protection issues, and providing expert advice and training to staff. You will also work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, health, and the police, to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding and child protection.
- Staff support and development.
- Collaboration with external agencies.
Requirements:
A competitive salary based on experience (£28,412 - £34,502), pro-rata (£13,661 - £16,590) for 22.5 hours per week, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
