Job Summary:

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Discipline Support Administrator to provide administrative support to the Director of Discipline and Discipline Programme Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and support of senior honours and taught masters' programmes and courses for the discipline, providing support to the Academic Course Organisers and Taught Masters Programme Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Discipline and Discipline Programme Manager.
  • Assist with the administration and support of senior honours and taught masters' programmes and courses for the discipline.
  • Support the Academic Course Organisers and Taught Masters Programme Directors.
  • Contribute to the development of administrative processes and procedures.
  • Provide strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to plan own workload and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Experience of using IT systems, software and databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer focussed attitude.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan own workload and take in to account the workloads of others.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in both written and figure work.
