Job Title

We are seeking an experienced speech and language therapist to join our dynamic team as a Highly Specialist Acute Stroke Speech Therapist. This is a permanent full-time position, working 30 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide highly specialist speech therapy services to patients in the acute stroke setting.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Relevant postgraduate experience in speech and language therapy.
  • Extensive experience working with complex swallowing and communication needs.
  • Leadership skills and ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
  • Good understanding of clinical governance principles.
  • Able to communicate complex information effectively to patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
