Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis. The company is a world leader in their field, with a strong presence in the oil and gas, power generation, and petrochemical industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing design and drafting support to the engineering team, working on a wide range of projects that involve the creation of 3D models, 2D drawings, and manufacturing documentation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Producing high-quality engineering drawings and models using Creo, Solidworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Ensuring all drawings meet the company's CAD standards and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to develop innovative product designs that meet customer requirements and minimize costs.
  • Managing the outsourced CAD drawing process with the company's overseas offices.
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve drawing-related queries.
  • Creating manufacturing drawings from 3D models for release to production.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a proven track record in drafting and design. Experience with fluid dynamics and acoustics is an advantage, but not essential.
