Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Premier Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering and production team with the manufacture and development of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the engineering and production team with the manufacture and development of products
  • Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Provide engineering support for production activities
  • Prepare work instructions for manufacturing processes
  • Be involved in process development
  • Raise and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Ensure all processes are in line with Health and Safety requirements
  • Create and update Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Ensure the correct jigs, fixtures, and tooling are used for all processes
  • Present monthly reports
  • Visit suppliers as required

Requirements:

  • NVQ/HNC/HND/degree qualification in an engineering subject
  • 4+ years of experience working in a similar manufacturing or production role
  • Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Good knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Experience working with document control and BOM generation
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a small team
