About the Kepak Finance Graduate Programme



The Kepak Finance Graduate Programme is a 3-year development opportunity that equips graduates with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to build a successful career in finance within the meat processing industry.



This role focuses on the operational side of finance, including rotations through Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Accounting, and Commercial Finance. The programme is designed to provide a deep understanding of the complexities of finance in a fast-paced and intricate industry.



Key Responsibilities


  1. Process invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies in Accounts Payable.
  2. Manage debt collection and administration, dealing with bespoke pricing and complex customer relationships in Accounts Receivable.
  3. Administer payroll for office employees, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies in Payroll.
  4. Support junior accountants in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and managing accounts in Accounting.
  5. Assist in financial planning and analysis, providing detailed insights to support decision-making across the business in Commercial Finance.
  6. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and automate processes, improving efficiency and accuracy in Process Improvement.


Requirements


  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a Maths-oriented discipline is essential.
  • Previous experience in a finance role, such as a part-time job or internship, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel; understanding of debits, credits, and account management.
  • An interest in the meat processing industry and a willingness to understand the unique financial complexities of the sector.


Salary and Benefits

The estimated starting salary for this role is £28,000 per annum, with an increase to £29,500 after two years. Additionally, you will be entitled to various benefits, including Employee Discount Scheme, Service-Related Annual Leave, and Educational Assistance/ L&D.
