Care Support in a Recovery-Focused Environment
At Potens, we provide specialized support to 18 adults with mental health needs at Cecil Court in Langley Moor village. Our service is designed to empower individuals to progress towards living independent lives within their local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals to engage in community activities, boosting morale, and increasing existing skills.
- Focus on supporting the learning of new skills to rebuild confidence and promote a positive outlook.
- Work collaboratively with individuals to set and achieve personal goals.
- Emphasize the importance of a person-centered approach, valuing individual ideas and perspectives.
- Adapt to variable shift patterns, ensuring consistent and high-quality support.
Requirements:
- Flexible and open to change, with a positive attitude.
- No prior mental health knowledge is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Highly motivated and able to encourage others.
- Note: applicants relying on public transport must reside in the Durham area due to transportation issues with start times.
