Located in Northamptonshire, we are seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Assistant to manage the end-to-end payroll process for our growing business.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical payroll knowledge and excellent organisational skills, with experience in managing payroll for all employees, handling wages, deductions, bonuses, and updates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll laws, including PAYE, NIC, and pensions
  • Manage statutory filings (RTI, P60s, P11Ds) and year-end processes

Pension contributions, auto-enrolment, and benefits administration also fall under your remit. You must be able to reconcile payroll accounts and provide financial reporting.

A salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum reflects your expertise and experience. As a full-time employee, you can expect a 5-day on-site schedule.

We look for candidates who can demonstrate attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong communication skills. Previous experience with Payroll Software is essential, as is your proficiency in UK legislations.
