Crane Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Technician to join Demob Job Ltd in Essex. The successful candidate will be based from home and travel to customer sites to install, service, maintain, repair and inspect cranes and lifting equipment.

About the Role:
  • Conduct installations, services, maintenance and repairs on a variety of cranes and associated equipment, including overhead cranes, Goliath cranes and jib cranes.
  • Perform equipment examinations to LEEA and LOLER standards.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve breakdowns by replacing parts as needed.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and service documents.
  • Maintain adherence to health & safety requirements at customer sites and company procedures.
Requirements:
  • A strong electrical or mechanical engineering bias is required.
  • The ability to wire 3 phase motors and use electrical test equipment is essential.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working at heights.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking are necessary.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • Candidates must have their own basic hand tools.
Benefits:
  • The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, with a total of 40 hours per week.
