As a Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe swimming lessons to children aged 5-17, focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons to mixed ability groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
- Supervise children during swimming sessions, lunch breaks, and other activities, prioritizing their welfare and safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the safe use of equipment, adhering to Kings Camps' health and safety policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver swimming programs, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Swimming Teacher/Lifeguard.
Requirements:
- 12 months experience as a swim teacher, with a strong focus on developing water confidence and swimming techniques.
- Up-to-date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification, with a current Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ or NRASTC).
- Experience working with children aged 5-17, with a proven ability to develop and grow young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging swimming activities, considering child welfare and safety at all times.
