Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Symmetry Recruitment. As a key member of our sustainability department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies that enhance environmental performance, reduce costs, and promote Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with clients and property managers to design and implement sustainable strategies aligned with corporate goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain compliance with sustainability regulations, preparing reports and documentation for certifications as required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless communication and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to sustainability in real estate, analyzing data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead sustainability-related projects from inception to completion, managing timelines and budgets while achieving sustainability objectives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing and proposed real estate to identify sustainability opportunities, including energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable materials use.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in sustainability, preferably in a real estate or property management context.
  • Detailed knowledge of sustainability frameworks, certifications, and best practices in real estate.
  • The ability to analyze complex data and create effective sustainability strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Carbon Reporting or WELL, are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits: Our salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
