Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Gaming team at Global Draw Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, and implementing mechanical/electromechanical solutions for new products and enhancements to current products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To produce designs that satisfy the requirements, deliverables, and constraints laid down in the Project Initiation Document, Requirements Document, or as required by Engineering management.
  • To produce design documentation that accurately conveys the design to other members of the Engineering group, nominated third parties, and suppliers, and conforms to current Health and Safety and compliance standards.
  • To keep project documentation up to date and provide time-scale estimates for work.
  • To provide considered input to the project planning process and risk assessment.
  • To attend project meetings as required by the Senior Director, Engineering, and to participate constructively at these meetings.
  • To extract and interpret customer (internal and external) requirements.
  • To record these requirements in a formal requirements document that can be fed back to the customer and maintain the requirements document to reflect changes as they are agreed with the customer.

Requirements:

  • 3D CAD preferably Pro-Engineer / SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of a wide range of Engineering disciplines.
  • Understanding of design for manufacture and value engineering processes.
  • Hands-on approach to workshop prototyping.
  • Experience of design within the gaming industry is desirable.
  • Experience of Oracle MRP Manufacturing & an understanding of electrical connectivity would be an advantage.
