We are seeking a Senior Clinical Advisor - Occupational Health to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Occupational Health department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff and patients.
About UsWe are a leading teaching trust, providing a wide range of local hospital services across our different sites. Our trust provides specialist services from King's College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.
Job DescriptionThis role will be responsible for leading the delivery of Occupational Health services, including medical examinations and clinical assessments for fitness to work. You will work closely with the Head of Nursing/General Manager and Consultant colleague to ensure compliance with legal and ethical obligations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice on occupational health matters to senior managers and stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective management of employee health and wellbeing.
- Collaborating with managers to provide a healthy and safe working environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, with experience in all aspects of OH, culminating in award of Certificate of Completion of Training by GMC or CESR by GMC. They will also have thorough understanding of principles of medical audit and must have undertaken and completed audit projects.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for a registered medical professional with membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM) and evidence of adherence to the principles of 'Good Medical Practice' set out by the General Medical Council. A Certificate of Eligibility for Specialty Registration (CESR) by GMC is desirable.
