Kitchen Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Section Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at MAC (Midlands Arts Centre). As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food products in a safe and timely manner, adhering to the standards set by our Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and deliver all food items as directed, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications, maintaining attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food hygiene standards.
- Contribute to reducing waste and maximizing yield, ensuring efficient food production.
- Ensure accurate storage, preparation, cooking, and serving of allergen food, adhering to guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain portion controls, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain accurate records of food safety documentation, including COSHH and HACCP records.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative environment.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Present a professional image, adhering to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Carry out reasonable instructions and tasks as requested by line management.
- Prepare food as required, adhering to recipes and presentation specifications.
- Carry out service duties, ensuring efficient and high-quality food delivery.
- Organize and prepare the section for the following day, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Accurately complete control sheets, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Inform kitchen management of any maintenance issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Complete prep sheets accurately at required times, maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate with kitchen shift leads to understand daily roles and responsibilities.
- Inform kitchen management of stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift, maintaining a well-stocked kitchen.

Person Specification:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Section Chef with a passion for delivering high-quality food products. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A previous experience in a busy kitchen, in a similar position within a comparable operation, is essential.
